Chili Extravaganza 2009
Janesville Area 7-02 Special Olympics would like to know, "Who is the best of the best?" We are looking for all Chili Cookers, Rib Rack Smokers, and Desert Bakers to compete in the Second Annual Janesville Area Special Olympics "Chili Extravaganza" Cookoff. If you have the "Worlds Best" Chili, Ribs or Desert then come and support Janesville Area 7-02 Special Olympics Atheletes by entering an OPEN CHILI, RIBS and DESSERT cooking competition. The evet is open to all amature and professional chefs who would like to find out if they are the best in the Rock County area. The event will be held on April 25th 2009 at the UAW Local 95 Union Hall 1795 Lafayette St. in Janesville Wisconsin. Map and Directions

Competition Cooking Class
The competition cooking class was a great sucess, many came to see Clate Bogan demonstrate how to properly set-up and prepare food for competition cooking.
Competition Cooking Demonstration
Saturday, March 22nd at 10:00am to 1:00pm at the UAW Hall parking lot there will be a competition cooking demonstration. The demonstration will include a 10x10 cooking set-up, lists of items that a competition cook will need, and some tips to be a competition cooker. The demonstration will be held by Clate Bogan, who has been competing at the KCBS BBQ competitions. The Chili Extravaganza is a fun cooking competition, a chance to see how your food compares to others. The demonstration will help the first time competitive cooks with ideas and a few tricks of the trade. Please plan to attend if you are interested in this demonstration. Map and Directions
Chili Extravaganza Trophies and Prize Money
Throphies will be awarded for first, second and third places for each catagory. Trophies are special made from "Pottery by Jim Rowe" Cambridge Stoneware Co.
The Chili, Ribs and Dessert entry money will be distributed as prize money for each catagory as follows.
